Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....
Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?
I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.
And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!
i just called the nursing department in the anderson/muncie/new castle region. i was told that they are making their selections this week...so those letters will probably be going out at the end of the week or early next week. that means that anderson and columbus campus letters should both be here next week. i started a new walking routine, so i'm occupying my time with creating new play lists.
has anyone heard when lawrence will send letters out?
I received an email from someone (only because I emailed and asked) and she said as of yesterday (Monday) letters were not sent out yet but most likely by Friday. Nothing like waiting until the last second. She also said that there are RNs being accepted with under 200 points. That is ALL that she said though. So dont give up just yet if you dont have the higher 200's points. Looks like it still might be possible. Last years cut off for RN was 189 and she could not remember what the cutoff for LPN was. Good luck to all and post when you get your acceptance letters.

which campus did you talk to?
okay, so medical terminology is not required at Ivy Tech... Soooooooooo Who has taken it to prepare for the nursing program...and who doesn't think it is needed? I am kind of wondering if I should take it this summer or not, if i do opt to take it I will have to pay for some of it out of pocket and that will be hard for me right now.... What to do...what to do?!! Will taking it really help that much?!
I took it, mainly because I needed a 'filler' class to get 12 credits my first semester at IT and I really enjoyed it. I've used the med term dictionary that came with my books many times. I think its a great class to take, but it all depends on whether you want to pay out of pocket for it or not. Is there one other class that you could take so that you could receive financial aid?
