Does anyone know anything about this company? They are offering a course in Memphis on March 25th and I need to go (missed the one at school after graduation). Also I take my boards on the 8th of Jan. wish me luck. Dawn

I hope someone knows something about this company because I would like to take it also but its kind of pricey if its not a reputable company. Best wishes on your boards. Jules

Medtexx is listed as a memeber of the BBB in Orlando. After talking to a friend of mine that is where she got her PICC certification through for home health. Seems to be a pretty reputable company. I am going to call them about the course. Dawn

Thanks for adding the update Dawn. It sounds like a good course.

if I were you I would call around to hospitals and LTC facilities to see if they have any certifcations coming up. I only paid $75 for mine and its one of the only ones in the country that transfers wherever u go(this is what we were told, not sure if its true...lol, but they said when u go to a different state most IV certifications arent valid). I know Medtexx is pretty expensive, so shop around if u have time. I hate to pay more money than I have to for something.

can you tell me how to contact medtexx???? i am getting desperate for picc line certification

Medtexx.com but I believe the PICC line cert is only for RN's.

Hi,

I took the Medtexx IV course in Orlando and it was very good. It was a lot of money, but I wanted the certification, and I wasn't working at the time. I've since taken further IV cert courses through work to advance my knowledge. I found Medtexx on the web - just google it.

Good luck,

I checked online and it's $450 ? Wow. I'm signed up here in California for a 2 weekend course and I thought it was alot at $225. But our LVN school tuition was $18000 last Dec. when I started, now with the new class it's $22000 which I think is a lot more than back east?
