I hate when people complain about a grade or failing a skills test by saying "it's not fair because..." and then they actually change the grade for them. When I get a grade that I am unhappy with I reflect on what part I played in the outcome- in other words, how can I do better in the future. I feel like when someone complains (nobody told me we had to do it that way or whatever) and is then given a better grade they are rewarding the person for not being accountable for their own responsibilities.
It makes me want to complain about things and debate my way to higher grades but I hate that behavior. I don't want to act like a spoiled baby, I just wish they would grade fairly and consistently and stick with it.
Know someone who went through college complaining about every A minus until the instructor changed the grade to get them to leave them alone. Probably says something about the personality that keeps this same person from maintaining steady employment since college.
EXACTLY. I think about that sometimes when people complain over the petty stuff, or insist on working competitively with others, rather than cooperatively. I can only imagine working with these people.

Trust me... Welcome to my life of nursing school...
All I hear is other students practically attacking my Patho professor. And EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. she takes those questions off. If you got them wrong GREAT - your grade goes up. But if you are like me (and actually did nothing but study over your spring break) and you got it right, your grade stays the same as if the question didn't exist. There is also a whole lot of favoritism in my nursing classes as well.
