Hi,
I heard that after completion of 2 RN clinical s you can take the test for the LPN.. is this true? I am in Borough of Manhattan Comm College for my RN. That would be great for me to pass the test and become an LPN while working on my RN degree.
If this is true, which NUR clinicals need to be completed?
I need advice on whether or not to take my MAT 104 Math for Health Sciences online or campus?
If on campus who is a good professor for that class?
And for Developmental Psychology 240... online or campus? Who is good on campus?
I will be taking Microbiology as well... maybe a saturday or sunday class.
I will be at BMCC monday the 16 for academic advisement and register for my classes
Any advice will help...

I think it might depend on the school and the state. If I remember correctly it was mentioned in our info session that once we finish the first semester we can get our CNA. I would be surprised if you could get your LPN, but who knows.
I have taken all my classes online through ccconline (I am in CO). I loved the format and it saved me tons of driving. I would take as many online as you feel comfortable with. Sorry can't help you with professors though, try the NY region board.
Have fun on Monday! Spring registration opens up for me then too, but I'll just be in PJ's and slippers for that one!
Good luck!!

This is not true in New York State.
If you look at the NYS nursing license requirements for LPN it says you must have be a graduate of an approved program.

Not only that but you'd have to take the NCLEX-PN and wouldn't it be a little hard to study for that test and continue nursing school as well?
