I heard from my friend that currently, St. Lukes is not accepting male applicants. Is this true?

i just submitted my resume this monday. one of my insecurities is that i don't have any hospital experience yet.
as for freeze-hiring of male applicants, i'm not really sure, but my classmate in masteral (who's a guy) is included in a new batch of trainees there. in fact, he was the one who informed me that st. luke's is hiring now. i'll confirm it with him.

Re: Is it true that St. Lukes isn't hiring male applicants now?Male nurses are seen as more dominant and less submissive than female nurse. Read this as: Women are easier to control by management and less confrontational when there is a problem.
In addition to that, "Men tend to talk more, longer and faster, while women are more descriptive, attentive and perceptive. They tend to ask more questions, self-disclose and solicit more information than males. Females are attentive, friendly and open, which improves productivity and morale.
Males talk more during unpleasant situations. They tend to disagree and are also more responsive to their supervisors. They also tend to focus on content. Thus, they are oftentimes steorotyped as better speakers and researchers. "(Sullivan and Decker, 1997)
this doesn't make sense. they discriminate male nurses? at this time and age? and it's a premiere hospital in the philippines to boot! i hope it's not true otherwise it could get pretty ugly for them.

really? they're hiring again? i just emailed my resume yesterday
To kyckerz, I'll ask him this Saturday as he seldom replies in text messages. To clarify, did we apply for a staff nurse position in St. Lukes Global City? or in St. Lukes, QC? Because I submitted my resume in QC.And just like you, I'm still anxiously or (to be more positive) "enthusiastically" waiting for their call.
