I imagine different states use differently sized envelopes, but no, that's silly: open the danged thing up, and if it says FAIL, you've failed, and if it says PASS, you've passed!

Can differ from state to state
Some will send big envelope regardless will either contain license and other paperwork or re sit application and printout on areas which you did both good and bad

you know what, i believe that if you recieved a thick envelope it means you failed but if you got a not so thick it means you passed..its just a guess hahaha,,coz if you passed they only use one paper i guess stating that you passed,,but if you failed they have several papers on it to give you detailed evaluation of your result..
Can vary as some get thick envelopes as they get all information regarding license and BON

In New York State - I got both.....I received a regular envelope that was mailed from NYS Education Dept that was sent to them from Pearson Vue. On it - it had my ugly picture and then said that (my name) has sat for the NCLEX-RN and has successfully passed. Then I also received a big 8 x 10 heavy envelope (made of cardboard) also from NYS education dept (albany) with my letter acknowledging my acheivement, my license and a certificate from the NYS Education Dept.
O...when I failed the first time...I only received a regular envelope...again with my picture but saying that I had not passed and on the back it had my weaknesses.
Good Luck to all studying or getting ready to sit for the NCLEX-RN or PN. You can all do it!!!
