Is taking A& P 1 and general psychology too much?

Published

I know I'll be taking English 101(online) and A&P 1(in class) but I think I might be taking general psychology online as well. But some odd reason I think taking A&P 1 and general psychology will be too much in one semester...is that true?

I did exactly that last semester. Ap1 in class and psych online. Psych was basically a free a. Time consuming but easy. I got an a in both classes and while I felt like I was always studying when I wasn't at work (I work ft) it was fine. Ap1 was the beast!!

You will be fine. I would take it.

with a and p i usually read the chapter like 2wice or even 3 times and then I usually ace the exams just know what the words mean and all. Psych is so easy online literally.. Take aphy in person though..

I'll cosign on what everyone else is saying in that Psych really is an easy A. It's so general, for me, most of it was common sense. I think you have a well rounded schedule for the upcoming semester!

Gen Psych--piece of cake, espec. b/c they made me take Developmental Psych. FIRST. (Who can explain this? Not the school. Quien sabe?)

A&P, not so much. Still, not bad at all. (But I'd had some exposure, 10 years before, to A&P.)

I think you'll be okay with that schedule. However, just to play devil's advocate, I go to a college where the average gen psych exam score is around 73%, no curve, standard grade scale. There are opportunities to gain extra credit by participating in studies but gen psych still isn't a walk in the park - not as difficult as bio or chem, but not super easy either. Keep in mind the reputation of the class here you go to school.

Just make sure you study to learn in A&P/ You will be using that information for your entire journey through nursing school. If you have a great grasp of that information, you'll be much better for it when it comes to your nursing classes :)

Good luck!

You will do fine! Just try real hard to stay on top of reading and be an active learner. There are resources available at your school I am sure. So if you ever don't understand something get help right away. Also attend every open lab, if your school has open lab. Another useful site is youtube! You can find information about every topic on there. Don't forget to take breaks and don't study at the last minute. But I know we can tell you not to worry a million times and you still will. I worry every semester. But that is a good stress, it means you want to be successful, and you will! Good luck!!!!

A&P is intense, psych wasn't too bad, but it really depends on you and your school. You can certainly take both and pass with flying colors, it is possible- you just have to work hard.

II dont think so some of it might even overlap, AP will cover the brain and so does Psych.

I think you will do fine, I just finished those two classes and got a A in Psych and a B+ in A&P . You just really have to stay on top of your reading. I think you will be fine, just stay focus and you will do great...good luck
