I have been going to the Mt. San Jacinto College Here in California.
I just do not want to wait until Jan of 2007 to start the LVN program here @ MSJC, What if I don't get in to the class of 12 students they will pick.
I can start LVN school here at summit this coming June, 5!
Can anyone tell me if this is the way to go? I know they are highly priced.

i didn't see anything about accreditation. do you plan to continue on to RN?
I did see where they had accrditation by the state, it may of been on the California gov. site.
I am planning on going on to RN school.
Any one know something about the schools around Riverside? I know the schools are higher but I need to start sooner not later.
Thanks for any help.

redlands adult school has a great LVN program, the ARE accredited and pass rate is 90-100% in the last 5 years. also, their program is 3 days a week - so you are still able to work.

I"m currently taking classes at Mt San Jacinto to get my RN. I don't know if you know about their special program. If you sign an agreement to work at Hemet Valley Medical Center for 3 years after you finish RN school; they will pay for your RN classes but also GET YOU IN THE PROGRAM!!! They save spots in the RN program just for their employees. I believe the last group had 21 students for 20 spots, so at worse you might have to wait a semester.
I actually have an interview there today to work as an LVN and they'll guarantee me a spot in next falls RN program (2007). I only have to work there two years upon graduation because of being an employee. If you want the lady's number to contact in regards to that. Lemme know.
: ) Good luck

NO SUMMIT! I am graduating North Orange County ROP and it's been great, all of my credits are transferrable to community colleges too. I heard summit has a lower passing rate and it's waaaaaaaayyyy too over priced. My total cost for everything including boards was $1,200 and moving on to my RN I will recieve 24 college units. Not a bad deal, look into Adult Ed and ROP. Good luck on your venture into nursing land :)
