What foods do you chart as 'Intake" besides juice, milk and soup? Are pudding, gravy or ice cream some that you chart also?

Yes, all of the above. You should check up on "full liquid diet" to get a complete listing of the things to be recorded.

Your facility should also have info on this.

We do not chart pudding as intake.
Thank you all very much. So, some of you say yes, some say no. I actually need to know for my phrmac.math exam. There will be an I&O question in it. I just can't remember about pudding and gravy. Please help me:sniff:
Basically, yes to ice cream and jello, no to pudding, gravy, yogurt.

Only if it is or becomes liquid at room temperature. Ice cream and Jello become liquid at room temperature, so they're liquid for the purposes of an I&O. pudding is NOT in a liquid state ever, so it's simply a soft solid. Not to be listed as liquid on an I&O sheet.

pudding no, jello yes by our hospital (and each differs). But our I/O sheets have room for solids by percentage...and if I really want to (like in the case of calorie count or someone not eating well) I will tape our tray service order sheet to the I/O and put the percentage next to it. (we have a print out on all things on the tray...handy!).
