Ok, I have another Clep under my belt (sociology). I have to admit, I didn't study for this like I "should have", but a pass is a pass. My next Clep is for intro to psychology. My question is this, I wanted 3 weeks study time for this exam but when talking to the proctor at my Clep site of choice, the next available dates they have are 7/5 and 7/30! I would like to keep the momentum going (especially since I just finished sociology, and the two are kind of buildable) and get this out of the way by testing on the 7/5 date; but, I am afraid that I may be pushing it with this exam. Is two weeks enough or should I just go ahead and shoot for the 7/5 date?

Thanks for any input.

No, I was not able to meet my final deadline because I was not working and had no money.

SO.... now what are you going to do? What final deadline? How far did you get?

I am looking at another program. EC has a seven year time limit. A person can get an extension on that if a request is approved, which I did, but I ran out of money to do the CPNE again. The CPNE was around $5000 a whack for me. Not pocket change when you don't have a job! My credit cards are still maxed out with CPNE costs, almost two years later.

OUCH!! I am sorry to hear that... but GOOD LUCK to you in the other program you are looking at! I can see you have been a member here for a long time, and have provided a lot of good information to people starting out. Thank you for that! :)

I always try to help. Sometimes I wish there was someone around to give me advice when I could have saved time, money, or effort. :o

Well, I've been tentatively easing into this... still haven't committed yet 100%... I've been reading a LOT of posts on this board, and everyone has been enormously helpful! Best of luck to you in your new program!

Ok, good! Glad you found out... let me know how the Human Growth and Development CLEP is... I think I'll go that route. What are you using to study? BTW... how much do they charge for the CLEP?

I'm using rea guide, and instantcert (sp?)..I'm finding this subject quite interesting so far.. The clep is $77, and a $15 fee charges by the college where I'm taking the exam.

Thanks! I'm reading the Textbook.. Life Span Development. It is interesting... except the different theories and theorists (Freud, Erickson, etc... ) are hard to remember! :)

I'll look into those other guides, and check around here for a place that administers the CLEP. GOOD LUCK!!
