I really want to work at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I work nearby and I love the area. I'm not a nurse but I'm studying to be a nurse and I want to start at CHOP to get my foot in the door. Every nurse that I know that works at CHOP appears to be happy. It seems so hard to GET IN. Is it possible to work at CHOP?
I submitted my online resume/application to CHOP 2 weeks ago and was contacted by a nurse recruiter within days....after a lot of phone tag we finally got each other on the phone and I had a mini-interview just yesterday. She is forwarding my resume to 2 units of my choice and told me I should her back within a week......keep your fingers crossed for me!!but long story short, it seems like it is possible!
This exact scenario happened to me. I didn't hear back within the week, so I am going to call them myself tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed! lol
I just heard back from the nurse recruiter today, and she's forwarding my resume to the nurse manager to see if I can get an interview... (!!!) :monkeydance: I should hear back within a week...
Does anyone have advice on the CHOP interview? I would truly appreciate some feedback... Thanks in advance!
P.S. -- I believe they do have some part-time positions posted on their website (http://www.chop.edu)
hi all
they use behavioral type interviewing (i think that style of questioning is popular in healthcare...my previous job used the same approach)...there are various websites that have sample questions / examples of behavioral type interviewing with pointers on how to answer these type of questions
goodluck! =)
