Is there a place to FIND an RN interested in a position?

I am not a recruiter! I work for a HHC agency and love it!! We have been on the search for a great RN Liaison, an RN with HHC experience and it has been a bear trying to find the right fit. The company is actually looking for several in a few different areas in KY and OH. Any feedback would be great as to where to find resumes of RN's that are seeking employment.

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

My employer is adding their 6th community liaison along with 9 hospital based staff. Finding the right person is like looking for a needle in a haystack. As Central Intake Mgr, I've seen the best ways of finding the right fit is to:

a. Grow your own.

Look at the staffer who is a champion of your agency, flexible and willing to go the extra mile. interacts well with staff and physicians, person who networks well within organisation. Teaching them sales can be done, especially via attending boot camps offered by groups like Decision Health and National Association of Home Care and Hospice.

b. Dangle carrot to current marketers via ads in local healthcare publications extolling your company.

Best of luck in finding right person for your organization.

Thank you for your reply; however I do not think we can home grow the right person at this time. I do all of the outside Marketing and it has amazed me the number of RN's I have talked to and NONE of them want to do HHC. Of course, the Liaison position is not going on home visits, it would be a fixed position within a Hospital setting. An absolutely awesome position. I am just baffled that it has been difficult to find the right fit.

There are 2 websites that I know of that anyone can view resumes of individuals looking for positions; do you know of any more that I have perhaps missed?

Hi: I don't live near, and unfortunatelly I'm no willing to relocate. I've looking for that kind of position in my State, and i haven't find it. Would you mind to tell me what exactly is your company looking for, skills wise. That would help me find something like it around here. Thanks a lot.

Oh how I wish I was there to apply! Home care is certainly not for everyone. Your best bet is to advertise and steal one away from another agency! Where do nurses go to look for jobs in your area? CareerLink? We have one Sunday paper that every jobseeker checks in my area. Do you have a website you can put your jobs on?

Many nurses (myself included) are hesitant to keep their resumes out there because we get tired of being harassed by staffing agencies. We would rather apply to a posted job than be recruited like a dating service. I know it is expensive, but there are lots of nurses out there in home health that do not have their resumes posted- many don't even have a resume prepared in advance. Believe me. I have been in HH for 21 years (staff, QI, Case Mgr.), at several different hospitals. We are a cautious group, but we are out there!

Specializes in Home Health, MS, Oncology, Case Manageme.

You could put an ad on Careerbuilder.com although I heard they're expensive
