Is there an Off-Topic Forum? Where nurses discuss things in life non nursing related?

I cant seem to find a thread or a forum where you can discuss non nursing related..

where you can just talk about... Hey How's your day ? or What did you do last night in the dance club? or whatever topic that floats your boat.

A chat box has been here more than once but it didn't work and I believe the admins said the last time it was on permanent hiatus. Maybe that will be revisited. I discovered the nurses forum at AOL before AN. When I got registered here I just never went back to AOL.

Back maybe 10 years ago there was an IRC (Internet Relay Chat for the uninitiated;) ) client for vBulletin. When vB moved to the new code maybe 5 or 6 years that add-on ceased to work anymore and I don't believe it has been made to work. I'm sure many users use some form of instant messaging client be it AIM, YahooIM, MSN Messenger, ect. That's probably the easiest way to get a chat going. Share your IM name with other members, perhaps even get a list going or if there is an area within your user profile add your IM name there.

up at the top of the page on the right you will find a small-print toolbar. the first link is to an central where there are all kinds of non-nursing forums. cooking, family life, tv, books, pets, politics, etc.

when you switch to central, allnurses will take its place in that same toolbar. just click it to come back here.
