Is nursing school everyday or just two days a week?

I am about 4 pre reqs away from being able to apply for a BSN program and I was wondering if nursing school is Monday through Friday or just two days a week plus clinicals?

I am asking because I live about an hour away from about 4 accredited schools here in California, but if I have to drive that everyday, I would just move down there. If I had to do that two times a week, it wouldn't be so bad.

I know every school is different, but what has your experiences been with if you had classes daily or just two times a week?

My school does 3 days a week: lecture, lab, and clinical. In addition, most people go an additional day to work in the skills lab, so they told us to be prepared to be on campus 4 days a week.

My nursing school started with 2 classes 8hrs each and every trimester after that was M/F 3 hours lecture, T a BSN course (research etc) for 3 hours, W/THE clinical for 8 hrs each. So pretty much M-F for 2 years for my BSN.....

I have lecture 3 mornings a week for 2 hours each day and clinicals 2 full days a week. We don't have lab days.

I drive an hour to school and an hour home five days a week. It depends where you are in the program for us. First/Second semester students are only at school three days a week, third/fourth semester students five days. Ideally though because you have patients to prep for or assignments due that require school computers (because you have to access patient info) I'm usually there five FULL days (12 hours some days) and sometimes I go in for a sixth day. Driving is a PAIN. If you can move closer - DO IT. I can't tell you how many days I almost fall asleep at the wheel from pure exhaustion and have to pull over for coffee.

Good luck in your program :)

I start in May. My first semester will consist of lecture two days a week and clinicals two days a week. But clinicals don't start until after mid-term.
