Is nursing a reliable career to have?

I was looking around for information regarding the difference between an auto loan and a motorcycle loan. One website mentioned they're completely different and with the right credit, lower bills, least amount of debt, and a reliable job, one can find the right amount of lending for their favorite bike.

Would you consider your job something risky and always afraid of spending a dime and spend it only if you have to or is nursing a reliable type of job?

Reliable meaning you have little chance of losing your job, and it's something you can work to earn what you want if the "want" ever came up.

Nursing is as reliable as you make it. I consider my job stable. For people who want extra money for the "extras", there is usually overtime available, if not on your home unit, then somewhere in the hospital.

My automobile insurance company considers my job reliable, as evidenced by the discount I receive for my occupation.

I consider my job reliable. If I were to become unemployed today, I would be able to find another job in relatively short order as long as I am not too picky.

Being an RN and employed as one has been a perk for qualifying for loans in my experience, including home loans. As well as having been a reliable job for me.
