I don't want to give you false hope, but I would think you're fine. The Board is supposed to intervene and protect the public from "dangerous" (I'm using their words, not mine) nurses. If they had any evidence that you were remotely unsafe to practice, I would imagine they would have moved to halt your license fairly quickly. You could always get a consultation with a lawyer and see what their opinion is and if they have ever had anyone take this long.
it took 18 months for first contact from the investigator. I called them some time after that to find out what was going on. The issue with Texas is they are so overwhelmed with all different types of cases that the file just sits untouched, The board should send you a letter if they close the case. I would call them, but thats just me. The sooner the better to get it behind me is how I felt.

Fired from job and reported 2.5yrs ago (2021). Interviewed 5 months later with investigator and a lawyer. It's been over 2 years since the interview and I've heard nothing. No letter stating the case is closed. Do you always receive a letter stating the case is closed? I read after 18 months you're probably good?
I hate this limbo of not knowing what happens after the interview. I just want to move in with my life, but this is always in the back of my mind.
