Is this insane?

In the spring, I will be taking 12 hours: A&P II, Micro and Intro to Chem. I am really wanting to pick up a 9 week CNA course on Saturdays as well... I have two kids and I commute an hour to school but I really just want to get all of this out of the way! Am I completely nuts? Would you do it?

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies! I think I will put off the CNA course until the end of the semester. I am not worried about taking the sciences together because I am a science nerd. I made As easily in BIO 1&2 for majors and A&P 1. I struggle more with history/govt type classes. That being said, adding the extra CNA course may just be enough to put me over the edge! I don't want to make a poor choice that will effect my applications negatively just because I am impatient about getting medical experience.

I think that's a good idea. Regardless of how easy you find certain subjects they still require time and energy, and each of us only have so much. I don't find the material in nursing school to be hard, but the sheet volume of work is exhausting.

So rather than difficulty, I'd focus on time and make sure you have enough of it.

Well, based on credit hours alone its not insane. But that is a LOT of science for one semester!!! Do they all have labs as well? You'll definitely be busy, but nothing is impossible!

My school combines the sections, so each course is 4 credit hours and has 6 hours/week of class time scheduled. It's up to the instructor when/how much lab time we have. My first bio class we had labs maybe every other week but my A&P 1 class had labs every single meeting.

On a side note, I just found out that they call my A&P 2 professor "The Dragon Lady" so now I am a little bit more nervous than I was before!!

I just checked it. General consensus seems to be that she is a good professor who knows her stuff, just not very nice. Apparently, she made a girl cry in class this semester. I'm not very sensitive... So I guess I'm safe?

Sounds like my A&P professor. How to deal with her? Come to class, be prepared, and ask question when you don't understand. My professor did tell one girl that she would fail ALL of her clinicals because they disagreed over a technicality.
