We have probably 80% nursing and the others are either going for radiology, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, or EMT. I was surprised there are alot of guys in the class. I am taking A&P II also and there were quite a few guys there too. Over the summer I took A&P I and it was all women except for one lone male...and he loved it.:loveya:
We had a couple for dental hygiene, a couple hoping for pharmacy, a couple heading for dietetics, and one gal who wanted to get into forensics. Mostly nursing hopefuls, though.
We had four guys...one of the dietetics folks and the other three (of us) nursing hopefuls (all with bachelor's degrees in other subjects, interestingly enough).
The vast majority of the people in my micro class are pre-nursing.However, we've got a handful of people in the class who are hoping to go into the allied health fields of dental hygiene, radiology technology, surgical technology, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy.
same here! i was pretty surprised. this is my first prereq with that many pre-nursing students.
The funniest thing that I have seen on my campus, is that there are 20 women to every one man. I am taking Microbiology on Saturday and I know that the class will be full of women. The men who are in the class, want to do other things. Good luck to all of you in your courses. Try for AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA's.
There are roughly 28 people in my micorbiology class. one male. and all of us except two were pre-nurisng students. I thought that was hilarious. I think i'm going to enjoy my micro class. I hope everyone does well!
we had a mixture, some dental students, pre med, hygenests, but I would say the majority were trying for nursing.
I loved loved micro, ENJOY!
