Is a B in A&P bad?

Published

As of now, my GPA is about a 3.64. I have all A's in my pre-reqs, except for two B's, one being A&P I. I was just wondering, for community colleges, is a B typically good or bad when deciding to accept a student into the nursing program?

This semester I will be taking A&P II and I really intend to bust my butt to attempt to earn an A, but there is just so much information!

Not at all! A&P, depending on your school, can be an extremely demanding class. :)

B is good Just don't let your grades go beyond B. Good luck

A grade of B is not bad to the bone. Be happy that you did pretty well. I received a B in physiology and yet I got accepted.

well.. depends on program. some CA systems have a lottery system, and as long as you meet minimum requirements, you'll have same chances as someone with a 4.0.

however, if it is not based on a lottery system like that, do consider retaking it, especially if it's a very extremely competitive program, such as a CSU program

Retaking a class because you got a B is crazy in my opinion. My school won't allow retaking a class if you got a C or better.

Depends on how competitive your program is and what other grades are considered. I'm retaking a B+ in AP1 because I want security to get in, and want a refresher.

Some schools minimum is B and they have hundreds of apps. If you can't retake at ur School try another CC

You guys can't just go retaking courses because you want to. Some programs state clearly what course can be retaken and how many retakes they allow.

Yes a B in A&P is wonderful! There are people who fail that class!
