Go to the info session..they have them twice a week...and they get a FULL HOUSE. I'm guessing they will have a good 400 applicants easy for the 80 spots in july. My husband and I went to an info session...and there was a good 80 people or so just at an info session....so add that up twice a week...for a good few months...there are a lot of people interested in these programs. It's insane.

Thanks I went to the session yesterday. I am going to go ahead and start the process. I'm going to test on feb 24. With so many people applying it will be interesting to see if I get in.....Info sessions are twice a week Tue 4:00 and Thurs 1:00. The month of Feb only. Its about 45000 and 24 months(for people with no prereqs or lvn) They only take forty twice a year.

Thanks for all your help Nickilaughs. Did your husband sign up? Do you live nearby the school?

My only downfall is that I live so far. I left my house yesterday at 2:15 to get there by 4:00. I arrived at 4:04. arghh! Mapquest said it would take 1hr.5min.

I'll just have to adjust to all of that driving.

Hi newbee 57,

There are LVN to ADN programs at West Coast University (Anaheim, LA and Ontario campuses)

Also there is a straight BSN program there too- prereqs built in. Not sure which you are interested in but those locations might be better for you. I am currently in my first term there with the BSN program and it is intense but there is a date for graduation 3 years from now with a BSN without LVN, ADN steps.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help. I went to West Coast and applied to the bsn. I wasready to start in Feb. Two weeks before the start date I canceled. Nothing against West Coast or their reps.......I'm just scared of the high tuition! I'm 51 and I can't see paying off student loans for the rest of my life!

Thanks so much for your help and good luck in your studies.

no problem... I hope you find a school to suit your needs...at a better price.

Tuition is very high but I am 30. I am hoping to find a job while in school to pay some of the tuition through tuition reimburement. Also hoping for a signing bonus to jump start the tuition repayment too. Every bit helps.
