Is there anyone attending santa monica college

Published

Hello i was wondering if there is any pre nursing nursing student taking anatomy in the upcoming at santa monica college?

I would call SMC and ask them what they suggest. Tell them that SMC is your first choice but do they advise that you get a head start at LACC and then transfere to SMC's nursing. I'm assuming your grades during that time would have to be decent , but then again, if you have GE classes you need to finish, I suggest doing that and waiting for SMC in the Spring. I know that some nursing programs will not accept someone that "failed" a class in another nursing program. Also, I didn't think about this before but it might be a little unfair to take another students spot at LACC if you end up dropping out of the program after a semester.

The best thing is to call a counselor at SMC and discuss the best case scenerio for you. I don't want to give your wrong advice.

Good Luck!!!:)

Where does SMC do clinicals? I'm applying to the program in a couple weeks :) Anyone know anything about the CSUDH online BSN link with SMC that you can start while one the waitlist? What it's like?

Just a warning that SMC's waitlist is by time, not grades or achievements. Wait time is about 2 - 3 semesters. Check with them before declining the LA County program. It is a great program and they work with County Hospital at USC where you will be exposed to everything. I think SMC works with Brotman, and a few others in the area. Last week I ran into one during my round in dialysis at UCLA.
