Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.
wow you should contact the nursing dept, you should have atleast made alternateRiddle me this: I have a 156 overall, no check marks on my letter and I got declined. Whats up with that? 136NLN (got in on time) 12 points for A&P, 8 pts for Micro, I have a Vero beach address, have a GPA way over 2.5 and everything was in on time. I really confused right now

That's why I'm confused. Should I call or email? Or both?
Dear Ms. T:
After reviewing applications for the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program, we are sorry to inform you that you have not been accepted for the Spring 2016 Program at Indian River State College. **Please Note: If the checklist below does not have any item(s) checked, the Nursing Department selected the maximum number of students from the qualified applicants based on GPA, residency and the NLN exam.
Please review the checklist below to identify criteria that was not met for acceptance into the Associate Degree Nursing Program:
1 .NLN Score Below 100/Not Complete by Deadline Date
2. GPA Below 2.5 Admissions
3. Incomplete by Deadline Date
4. Anatomy & Physiology I/Lab Not Completed with C†or Better
That's what the top of my letter looks like, but I did not have any "check marks"

Were your transcripts evaluated in time? That can get you a denial.

Spitefire101 you are not too far on the alternate list if Doc got in with 158. I am confident that you will get ....it's only 3 points
