IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

Do you guys think we'll hear by tomorrow ? or are they going to make us suffer?

Although my hopes have pretty much diminished since the scores on this site have been so HIGH! But I would just like to know for sure, so I can move on with my life, lol. I can't focus on any of my classes.

I do not know when they will post but I've had several friends say Tomorrow. And don't worry about your score yet. Remember there are still alternate positions.

I know a person who made a 150 on the NLN and believes that they are getting in, but they have a 2.3 GPA. So there is room for others.

If I can pry, what is your score?

Isn't the required G.P.A 2.5?

I truly hope so. I do believe they are very, very strict about minimum requirements, because they told my friend not to even bother paying the fee because she did not have the gpa either. My score is 134 NLN, and 159 total. I know that it is not bad, and hopefully you are right, I will make alternate. I think the waiting around is just starting to mess with my head !

It went alright. They didn't seem nearly as professional as irsc. Also, she said people don't get accepted unless they finish A&P II and its not even a requirement to apply. I was disappointed overall. Hopefully we get good news today!

Yes. The session was a hot mess. She was trying to be funny, but she was a little condescending. I would much rather get my education at IRSC honestly. And the APII rule? A little harsh. Her exact words were "I haven't seen anyone get in without APII in a longggg time"
