IRSC spring 2014 hopefuls!

Hello all! I just wanted to start a topic for those of us applying to the 2014 ADN program at IRSC. I am so excited to finish my prerequisites and apply! LetsAll compare our application processes and wait to hear back from the program together! My names is Emily and I am taking a&p1 and micro this summer, then taking the NLN in August and submitting my app!

I did pretty good! I got a 143, which with my a&p and micro grades will give me a total of 175 :) hopefully that's enough! It was tough though and make sure you eat before you go because I was starving by the time I got to the science section!

Wow!!! Congrats. That is a great score. Now I'm really getting nervous. Was there a lot of physics on the test? That's what I have been concentrating on because I haven't taken a class in physics.

There wasn't a ton of physic but definitely more then I would have liked. I never took physics so that part was difficult for me. Probably between 10-15 questions related to the physical sciences. But I will say that if you did any kind of practice tests, your at an advantage. I did five practice tests and scored the same on those as I did on the real one so I definitely recommend buying a book and practicing!

I've done all the tests in the NLN prep book and have done well but of course I am still nervous. Thanks for the info and congratulations again!!!

Congrats on your score. That's great. I am taking the NLN on Sep.3, how did your score on the real test compare with the practice ones? You mentioned your NLN score was a 143, but what was did you get on the practice ones? I am trying to figure out what my practice scores would translate to for the NLN composite score.

I got the same on my practice tests as I did on the real one.

Hey ladies! I took the NLN yesterday, got a 143. I studied pretty solid for the last two weeks... I feel like it's a good score... and I thought the test was tough! The wait is going to kill me! Too bad it takes so long to find out!! I really don't want to wait another semester to get in! I am a busy, busy mommy of 3 and my hubby is a firefighter! I need to get this show on the road!! Glad to be here with you all!!
