IRSC spring 2014 hopefuls!

Hello all! I just wanted to start a topic for those of us applying to the 2014 ADN program at IRSC. I am so excited to finish my prerequisites and apply! LetsAll compare our application processes and wait to hear back from the program together! My names is Emily and I am taking a&p1 and micro this summer, then taking the NLN in August and submitting my app!

I tried to switch with a counselor in person down here at the Stuart campus and she told me it was full. Brookie72, when did you switch?

I switched the day after orientation.

When I turned in my paperwork, I was told to ask the instructor on the first day of class about switching. Hopefully I can still get into the online class. I want to come to all the classes also, but would rather take the tests in Stuart.

Did everybody get their paperwork turned in okay? Yay, we can breath easy....for a day or two, unless you have finals.

So ready for this stuff to get moving, ive ordered all my shirts and pants, still need to get all my books and my decal and ID. And a book bag of some kind. I just want classes to start so I can get in to some kind of routine!

What kind of book bag will you get? Do we need to bring a ton of books each day? Does anyone know?

I have a rolly bag... I went to the NSNA lunch last Thursday and there were some students finishing up Nurse 1... they suggested to bring all the books in the beginning until you get a feel for what you'll want to have with you.

Hello all! Congrats to all that got in for Spring:) I am currently in the program, I started this fall and just finished my 1st semester...Yea! Anyway I wanted to let you know that I have a book bundle for sale with all the required books in it. I ended up with 2 sets so I am able to sell one for a major discount. They are listed on craigslist if anyone is interested under IRSC Nursing Book Bundle. Give me a call if you want them my number is in the ad. Also if anyone has any ?'s I might be able to answer about the program fire away and I will do my best to shed some light I know you are all excited to get started. Good Luck!

What type of bag should we get, are the rollerbags a necessity? I guess that plays into my next question: which textbooks are we required to bring to class daily or which would you recommend bringing? Are there any time management tips/ideas you have?
