IRSC spring 2014 hopefuls!

Published

Hello all! I just wanted to start a topic for those of us applying to the 2014 ADN program at IRSC. I am so excited to finish my prerequisites and apply! LetsAll compare our application processes and wait to hear back from the program together! My names is Emily and I am taking a&p1 and micro this summer, then taking the NLN in August and submitting my app!

Tell me about yourself !

Ok, so the deadline is coming up... I'm nervous that I'll forget something... does anyone know if there is a "checklist" of sorts that spells out exactly everything we need to turn in.... was there one in the power point?

I have (or will have)

Insurance Card

Parking decal

Nursing ID Badge

CPR card

Physical Form w/ immunizations

Hep B Declination

Flu Shot Declination

Anything else?

The signed papers that are in the Health Science and Nursing Handbook!

I think we did get a check list at the meeting in Oct.

There is a checklist that you are supposed to sign and turn in with all of the documents. Other than the signed handbook forms, I think you have everything. :)

Happy Thanksgiving folks! We are getting sooooo close!

I finally have all my books... the remainders straggled in while I was away for Thanksgiving... Dr appt tomorrow for my physical, TB skin test and flu shot! The deadline is quickly approaching and then we get a small break to relax! Until the craziness begins in January! I still haven't ordered my shirts, but that is the only thing I'm missing.

Question: Do we have to take ALL the books to classes every day? I see girls wheeling around huge cases, am I to assume they have all their books in there?

Happy Sunday!! We are decorating our Christmas tree tonight... my kids are SUPER excited... and I won't lie... I am too :roflmao:

Finally handed in all my papers today. All that I have left now is buying some scrub pants and white shoes. All I have left now is showing up to class in January.

Who do we hand the papers over to, Ms. King or to someone else?

I just handed them in at the office. She checked that I have everything, scanned them in and then gave them back to me. She also put the dates into the computer.

Has anyone switch from the traditional class to the online class?

I switched to online right after the meeting on Nov 15th. I live in Vero, so I'd rather have the option to take exams at Mueller :-)

I switched too. I don't plan on not going to classes or not going to main campus for the tests but it's nice to have the option in case something happens.
