IRSC spring 2014 hopefuls!

Published

Hello all! I just wanted to start a topic for those of us applying to the 2014 ADN program at IRSC. I am so excited to finish my prerequisites and apply! LetsAll compare our application processes and wait to hear back from the program together! My names is Emily and I am taking a&p1 and micro this summer, then taking the NLN in August and submitting my app!

Tell me about yourself !

I'm pretty email savvy... and I cannot figure it out! I've tried everything!

I guess I did it somehow... Juliana wrote me back and said I already did it :sarcastic:

Kim, the read receipt disappears after you click on it.

ACCEPTED!! Woohoo!

Me too, me too!! Lol, I sound like the little sister! Congrats ladies, can't wait to meet you all, and I guess I got the bum scoop about the wait being wayyy longer this time!!!

I'm on the alternate list but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Congratulations to all who were accepted!

Yay, congrats everyone! Amanda, I have my fingers crossed for you. October 11th is a month closer than the original date. That gives us more time to get things ready before Winter Break!

I am so excited! How in the world will I get any homework done this weekend?

OK so I didn't make it this time, I am going to reapply in March. I did score a 107 on my NLN and just so I know what I am shooting for next time can you all please tell me what your NLN scores and total points were?

My overall was 168. 143 on NLN and 25 for class grade pointes. Good luck to you next time!!

Thank you. I got a 107 and 23 for class points, I didn't really study much for the NLN do you recommend anything imparticular that helped you. Someone said the study sessions really helped them. Did you go to them?

I got a 146 on the NLN and 32 class points, so my total was 178. I didn't go to any of the review sessions. I took the practice exams in the NLN book.

I went to all of the review sessions... I found physics review helpful, as I hadn't taken a physics class before, but the rest were not necessary (to me) as it's all material that I've covered in the past year (biology, English, math etc) I would suggest a lot of reading and vocabulary expansion... I though there was a lot of vocab on the NLN... and although, I thought my vocab was decent, I found myself guessing on most of that. If I had to re-do my NLN, I would work on vocab and science. My strength is math, so that part was not a problem for me. I used the practice book and thought it was very helpful. I suggest practice, practice, practice... :) Hope my rambling helps...
