IRSC spring 2014 hopefuls!

Published

Hello all! I just wanted to start a topic for those of us applying to the 2014 ADN program at IRSC. I am so excited to finish my prerequisites and apply! LetsAll compare our application processes and wait to hear back from the program together! My names is Emily and I am taking a&p1 and micro this summer, then taking the NLN in August and submitting my app!

Tell me about yourself !

Hi! I applied for spring with a total of 149 points.. so I'm really nervous and super anxious! All my points still are not updated on the health science app so hopefully that goes through this week...and we get e-mails soon! Good luck to everyone :)

Thank you for that info Caseycake. I was really hoping for emails around three Weeks, oh well. Sorry to hear you all are still waiting on updated apps. With so many, I sure the nursing apartment is aware and will double check before selections are made. Best wishes to all of you

Did everyone's scores get updated yet? This waiting is driving me crazy. Good luck everybody!

Hello to all you future Nurses! My name is Michele and I have applied for Spring 2014. Im excited and nervous. Looking back at the posts for the class that just started it looks like we have scored lots higher. Good luck to everyone, this class is going to be very competitive to get into. My overall is 169, and last time that would have been a great score. Hopefully it is enough to get in this time!

One week down! LOL!

Jen915, what is the limited application list? Is that if your application is incomplete somehow? I'm so nervous! I should just sit back and study for the classes I'm in this semester, but it's hard to do!!

CaseCake,

I know what you mean. I can't focus on my classes either, lol. The limited application list is the list they have for the limited application. They pull everyone of it and put us on a seperate list to make sure they don't miss anybody. It's the checklist you see under your limited application status. I got kicked off it when I declared my major after applying, but she has me on the other list and Juliana verified my scores with me, so I have nothing to worry about on that end. They just want to make sure they have everybody that applied. I basically won't see my NLN score show up on my status, but they have the right one for me :). The waiting continues....

Thanks for letting me know what the limited application list is, Jen915. I guess just a fancy way of saying the application list!

KimKofke and all other impatient waiters out there (myself included), one week down and about 5 to 7 left to go! Hehe... I hope they hurry it up!!

Everyone have a great day!!

5-7 weeks is not so bad and we may find out earlier than we expect. My motto is be prepared for worst possible scenario. So anything before 7 weeks will be a delight. Does anyone know any details about the program once you start?

Hello! New to this site, I am in the same boat as many of you my NLN score is not on my limited access application. I have e-mailed the nursing department on Monday and have not heard a thing. Called yesterday and today and left a message, still nothing. Just want to make sure my application is in! No one is getting back to me.... anyone have the same problem????

A couple of us have and everyone that had this problem (myself included) got the same response that our application and scores are in the system and we are in the application process. I am sure the same thing happened to you but I would keep calling to be sure. Try contacting Valari. She got back to me pretty promptly.

That's who I talked to. Valerie and Juliana. They were both really helpful. I think Valerie is the one who checks everything.

Just curious.. What do you all plan to do as far as working while in the program? I get sooo stressed thinking about it. Life is so hectic! My husband works 13 hour shifts on the weekends. So thats out for me. I work weekdays now; does anyone know what the schedule is like for the first semester?
