IRSC Spring 2017 Applicants

Published

Hey everyone,

I plan on applying to IRSC's Nursing program for Spring 2017, and thought I would create this thread for us to talk about the application process! I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to study for the NLN? I keep seeing that they're updating the exam on IRSC's website, so I'm not sure if I should use the current study materials? Also has anyone had troubles figuring out transfer credits? I will have a BS from FSU and the courses that I've taken for A&P and Microbio have different course codes than the ones IRSC offers.

Good luck to everyone who plans on applying! Hopefully this thread can be as helpful as the last few semesters' threads have been.

You did Good! I on the other hand am disappointed. I got a 115 and in total i got 140 :/ I already know I won't get in. If i do just know a miracle happened.

Hi Chris!

Your score is still good though! This is my second attempt I took it for the first time last application period and I had a 109 & 134 total. I didn't get in but I heard of a few people getting in with scores only a couple points higher than mine, so you have a chance! This exam is very hard. The science is either hit or miss because it's such a broad subject.

You all are going to get in if you have a 110 they will consider you! I feel like I'm the last person on the planet to take the NLN lol I take mine tomorrow at 11:30:nailbiting: I'm so nervous but so ready to take this exam and just get it over with!

Oh I hope you're right. This was my first attempt. If i don't get in I'll get started for the next applicant pool. I hope you get in. Your score is a good improvement compare to your previous one. I wish you the best of luck Chels.

I know how you felt just a couple hours ago. I took mine today and I got my score withing two hours. So do you best! WATCH for your time in the reading...that caught me off guard. I literally finished the last two seconds.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site! It seems like everyone on here did great! I was wondering if there are alot of LPN's on here? I got a 129 on my NLN and 157 point's total. Hoping that's enough to get in!

What is an alternate and will there be any this year

By any chance do you know what the percentile Rank stand for? is it how much better you did to others by comparison or what? I am curious.

Don't quote me on this, but Im pretty sure that the percentile rank is how much better you did than the entire testing pool. Like for instance if you were in the 99% percentile, that means you scored higher than 99% of the people who took the test.

does anyone knows how many people applied to the program, 300?
