IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

The TABE is not required to take, it is a reccomendation but is in no way required. Atleast thats what the department told me

Requirements for graduation from the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing program are:

Students must successfully complete 121 hours of specified college-level credit courses in the degree program, including the 72 credits in the lower division Associate in Science Degree in Nursing and the additional 49 credit hours of Bachelor of Science in Nursing courses.

so looks like after we take the ADN classes we then have to take additional BSN classes

What are the alternates doing for scheduling? Has anyone heard anything yet? I have a 148 and still no word :(

mvburke, i got a 151 and was accepted. so that means on the alternate list you are one of the most likley to be selected

Does anyone know how much money the RN note is for labs/clinicals?

I just got off the phone with the bookstore. The tote bag and medication administration pack will not be available until after the classes have started. The instructors are aware of this.

I haven't heard anything as well. I would imagine they would contact any alternates who are getting in within this week... Does anyone have an idea other than the five alternates who have posted in the blog if they're any others?

I find it hard to believe that no alternates would get in this semester. There's at least a few spots open. Just not sure why they would have us wait this long :(

Acbeisler irsc has a few classes that are similar to prerequisites we completed for the adn nursing program. There are a few such as an extra English, history...
