IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

Acbeisler, I am taking the online version as well. I haven't used Blackboard yet, but am familiar with Angel. I am hoping Wednesday is not mandatory bc I was not planning on attending. Anyone know if Blackboard is comparable to Angel? Will I be ok if I don't go?

I have not purchased the ebook yet. Does anyone know the size of the files? Just trying to prepare and free up some space on my computer :)

Friday meeting we have to wear our blue polo, white pants, and white shoes, correct? Do we need to bring anything to that?

Blackboard is quite different to angel, but not too difficult to figure out. I just took three classes during the summer so if you are stuck let me know. I would check if it is mandatory just in case. I am not sure file size matters. I have a feeling when you "download" the copy it gets deposited into vitalsource bookshelf. That seems to be an ap or cloud type thing. I don't seem to have an actual copy on my hard drive. Or at least I cannot find one.

Also did anyone else receive the Basil L king scholarship letter letting us know we were eligible to apply because of our acceptance into a health science program ? I applied thinking it couldn't hurt and was actually awarded 3k ! Just a heads up for next semester, everyone should apply !

So I bought the nurses pocket guide at the bookstore yesterday and today I noticed the first paged is glued to the book, unlike the other pages. It's also a thicker paper than the other pages. Is anyone else's like this?

I bought mine online and same thing, first page has a glue dot holding it in there. Must be a handy removable page :)

Also, I know we have to wear our uniform Friday... Are we supposed to wear our nursing id as well? I was going to clip my on just to be safe.

has anyone won a stars scholarship? If so, what does it say? I still have one scholarship left that says "applied". The others just say denied

For the ebooks I registered and put in my access code, but it is saying I need an 8 digit class code to get the products. maybe i am looking at the wrong thing? I checked all of my papers and the email and can't find a class code.
