IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

Now I am considering faxing so it will be in tomorrow. Anyone have the nursing dept fax number? Thank you jessica321, I will call tomorrow too.

Well everyone, I bought the e-book and after the savings & $98 of tax (omg) it was about $1608. I still haven't wrapped my mind around the fact that I just blew my savings on books :arghh:

YAY! I found the fax number. I am going to wait till I am officially accepted to buy my ebook because that's a lot of money!

Basically welcoming me as a student in nurse one, telling me what to bring on the first day and about the convocation on August 25. It also had a bunch of attachments. I just downloaded my books. Oh boy there is a lot of reading in the months to come. I am going to see if it is possible to have them printed. If I find out any prices I will let everyone know. The digital format is nice because you can see and read your books from anywhere, but I am a little old-fashioned and like a paper copy. Shame that we didn't get that option.

I got my ebook last night, but they were out of the tote bags, so we have to wait on that.

In the email we got last night, we have to do a couple things that I completely forgot about before the 22nd. I got my ATI paper/pencil ID #, I'm doing my BE learning style assessment today. But what is the nightingale study tutorial? I remember them talking about it in the meeting, but I can't find the paper where it explains where and how to do this tutorial?

Annasmum, are we allowed to open the e-book package ? It says do not tear package so I thought that might mean we have to wait like we do with the tote bag & administration pack ?

Oops they'd better not change their mind. Was too nosy to wait. I have downloaded the books but have not accessed the other two parts as one of them (nursing documentation) is only valid for two years. The textbooks are quite big. Maybe call on Monday to make sure if you are nervous about it. I doubt that they would let it get this far and sell the wrong material.

Just checked the email from the office again and it doesn't say not to open the ebooks. In fact the fact that they have someone from lippincott attend on 8/25 to show what the software does almost implies that we should be pretty much ready to go that day, i.e. at least made the user account etc. but maybe check anyway.

Anyone know if the ebook is only available at the ft pierce campus? Hoping to go to a different campus to purchase.
