IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

I know those who did the LPN/EMT program prior to the RN get first priority even if they say otherwise.

I am clutching at any straw right now. Feeling a little defeated right now. How do alternates get chosen? Highest score first? Does anyone know?

Hmmm not sure on the experience bit. I have a medical background and still didn't make it unless that goes against me right now

Oh I get what you are saying about the LPN. I had hoped the wait is over and I can get excited and start planning for things.

Honestly who knows how they do it! I have medical experience, a decent overall score, and 80% done with my BS in HC Mngmt.

Yes, it was sent to my river mail. I literally received it 30 minutes ago, so maybe it's taking time.

I called and they said they're being sent out in ABC order right now

My last name starts with O and I have nothing yet

Well hopefully we all get fully accepted! I heard some alternates waited until the day before classes started to get their acceptance emails. See you all April 18th ! (:
