IRSC ADN Applying for fall 2013

Hi.Anyone out there applying for fall 2013? There are changes this semester and was wondering if anyone knows what kind of score we may need on the NLN to have a chance at a spot. The application packets aren't available yet and I'm getting anxious! Anyone know when the will put them out?

Curious about the TABE test...do we have to take it? I took it years ago.

Im not sure about TABE either. When I spoke to my advisor she said we should take anyway, but she didnt know I had taken it years ago? So guess I will try to call and find out for sure.

the tabe if i remember correctly is only good for 2 years, so they urge you to take it right before the semester..i took it a couple weeks ago, its absolutely nothing to be worried about, i got 12.9 in all areas and i was half asleep haha

CONGRATS smileanyway!! I am taking the CPR class on 7/19 at Main Campus. I also did take the TABE, and like johnnyvirgo said, it is super easy. No reason to worry. Also, the TABE scores are only good for two years so if you don't have a score registered you probably should take it again. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. :)

Is anyone else having a problem registering for classes?

Never mind, I found it. The class is NUR1021C, for some reason I had NUR1020C on my degree audit.

Does anyone know if IRSC ever settled on a price for the Nursing: A concept-based approach to learning, vol 1 & 2? I do not see it listed under the course or in the online bookstore.

Went to ft pierce bookstore yesterday, they said fall textbooks will not be available until July 29th.

No financial aid awards have been given yet either. I spoke to a man at financial aid yesterday and he said awards will be given in a week or two...I was thinking, dude do you have any idea how much reading we have to do?! It would be nice to be able to get our books ahead of time. I have found a few books online for a reasonable price, here is the site that I used: Shop for Used Textbooks, New Textbooks, Rental Textbooks & eBooks: Direct Textbook and you can add all of the books on the site and it prices them on different websites. I wanted to wait to see what kind of a deal the bookstore would give us, not to mention I can use my financial aid/scholarship money there. So we wait some more. I have everything else I need (scrubs, instruments, shoes, etc.), just waiting on the bookstore stuff and to pay for the class. And yes, johnnyvirgo, it is my understanding that we just need to register for NUR1021C, that has the 10 required credits for this semester. Looking forward to meeting you all on the 22nd. :)
