Local forum for Georgia is great, although there are not any true boundaries anymore thanks to the internet . I am a returning R.N. enrolling in a refresher class at Kennesaw University near Atlanta where I completed my A.S.N. in 1993. Hope that this forum really gets active so I plan to do my part by participating in discussions.
This is a very cool idea. I am in Stone Mountain and currently do occ. health for the feds. Also working on my master's at UAB but thinking of taking a break next semester. Also a budding nurse entrepreneur although I don't know what my next move will be yet. Where are the rest of the Georgia folks?!

Hi there, Stone Mountain is nice enough. It's quiet enough to be dull sometimes (to me). The schools are okay but you do have to be careful, some of them are definitely not up to snuff I am lucky, my kids attend a pretty good school (for now). I don't know about LPN pay. Maybe someone else can help you with that one?
LPOORE-my assignment will be Southern Regional Medical Center doing Labor N Del and antepartum. Anything you know about the hospital or the city will be greatly appreciated. I begin end of Sept. and I plan on going over there and checking it out beforehand but any insider details would be great. Thanks

Hi everyone! I just thought I'd start the new State forums off with an introduction thread. Please feel free to reply to this thread if you wish. Otherwise, feel free to start a new topic if you wish to discuss other topics that are local or state related. Enjoy!
