  1. Just wondering what side of the nursing fence do you fall??? I am considering LPN school versus taking the ADN program since I am nearly 40 years old, husband, father of two, lots of bills, etc.,etc., etc.,.
  2. Ooookkkk! I guess by the silence, no one wants to offer an opinion. Consider it off the table. Thanks.
  3. Hey, just wondering if anyone has done this.... I am an average student, older also. Nearly complete with a bachelors in Communications. But have thought about nursing school for a long time now. Since I don't want to take the RN now, would LPN be easier? Maybe less workload or anything like that? Just wondering since I only know some RNs that say A&P I&II were the toughest due to labs and such. Is that the same for LPN school?
  4. Thanks for the advice....I am leaning towards the EMT program. Class meets on Sat/Sun and works out well to compliment next semesters heavier load. Plus, I know working on an ambulance and possibly part time in the ER will help me in the long run.
  5. Just wondering. But how does the cadaver lab work? Maybe I am just not experienced enough to figure it out. I see how they are used in gross anatomy.
  6. I don't know how much light will be shed, but check out MCG's CRNA site http://www.mcg.edu/SON/NAPcontents.html and then if you can view it, there's a television station's segment from a newscast here locally that highlights the "dummy".
  7. Which would you suggest for a student working towards career in CRNA? My thoughts are that EMTs also get jobs in ERs and other critical care areas...CNAs do get direct patient care and floor nursing opportunities. Any thoughts?
  8. Has anyone graduated from the Medical College of Ga's CRNA? If so, please rate and give your experience.
  9. Seems like the key to getting advanced degrees is to keep you mouth closed about any plans....Well how do you stay quite when you want your employer to pay for a BSN? I think most hospitals now pay for the nurse education?
