Hello to everyone! My name is Krista, I'm a mommy to a 4yr old, twin 3yr olds, and a 1yr old. I am beginning my nursing school career in a week from now. I will be taking two classes a semester for now, atleast until my little ones get a little older. I am so excited for the upcoming challenge! Im just nervous about getting into the BSN program.

hello, i am tina, a 39 yr old stay at home mother of a 13 yr old with a wonderful and supportive fiancé. i am a lpn student in alabama. i will graduate dec, 2004, finish up prerequisites (6 classes) for rn/mobility program and hopefully start the rn/mobility program aug, 2005 (if there's not a waiting list) with the intention of completing in may, 2006.

i am interested in hearing from anyone who is a rn. i would like to know more about the careers for rns (type of jobs, what you do, what type of facility or company you work for, the pros and cons of the career, and the pros and cons for the type of facility or company you work for.

i am trying to get all the information and input from nurses who are already in the different careers for rns and can tell me more about the different careers. i look forward to been able to work as a rn while i continue with my education for my bsn (online).

this is very new to me. i look forward to participating in many of your forums. thank you for any and all of your help and advice.

tina

thanks to u i have an optimistic outlook now. i am 35 yr old lab tech who will probably now enter into school again to be a nurse. i was in the lpn program before i had my baby fourteen yrs ago. could never let this go. did u find it incredibly difficult to cope?

I didn't find it difficult to cope. I can only say this because I know that it was God will for me to return to school. I started school in the Fall, 2001 in the Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Program, completed both, took my Medical Assistant Certification Exam, and continued on in Fall, 2003 into the LPN Program.

I really enjoy the program. Finishing my medial assistant and phlebotomy really helped me alot with the LPN program. I just want to complete the RN mobility program as soon as possible (Summer, 2006 maybe) so I can go to work and continue my education for my BSN while I work.

I am nervous about actually going to work. I have noticed that going to school and doing clinicals are different from actually working in the field. This is why I would love to learn about the pros and cons of different carreers for RNs and the different facilities or companies they work for.

I would encourage anyone to return to school whenever you want. It is never too late. It is up to the individual. Just pray and give it to GOD and go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
