  1. Please Help Spazzy Nuse! I have a good week before my presentation and any help would be greatly appreciated. I just need to explain the pro's and con's and offer a article or story from popular press. I have been unable to find any info on this subject so thank you for any suggestions you may have!!
  2. Hey there fellow Minnesotans! I am taking Psyc this semester and I have a presentation due in a few weeks on e-learning. Do any of you have any info or interesting facts about e-learning or distance learning? I am having a hard time finding "interesting" info on this subject. Thank You!
  3. You are starting to make me nervous! I just started my pre-req's and don't really plan on graduating from the BSN program for 5 years or so. I am only starting PT so I can stay at home with my kids. I really hope that I will have a job after graduation!
  4. My son had excema since birth also. He has also has great results with elidel. You should be tested for allergies! My son was tested 6-7 months ago, and after we excluded those foods from his diet he really hasn't needed the elidel near as much. We really stay away from all scented lotions, soaps, etc.. Stick with ivory soap and keri lotion and I am sure you will see a difference. Good Luck!!
  5. In reply to Lanitra, my son has eczema, and I would rather take my ped's. advice and bathe him every few days, instead of constantly using a prescription cream. I have 3 other children and we have always have given them a bath every 2-3 days. Our ped. actually recommends the less frequent bathing. She say's that you are stripping away too many natural oils, and that children can be too "clean" . I'm sorry to hear that you have eczema as well, I am really hoping that my little guy outgrows it.
  6. thank you all for your advice! i will call his ped. tomorrow and ask for that referal! in response to a few questions neither my family, nor my husbands, have a history of allergies. i am still holding on to the hope that he'll outgrow some of his symptoms, if not all of them. we also have no pets, he's not in day care, and we have recently remodeled our older home. however, we have not taken out the older carpet in his room, which i am now thinking will be our next step! i hope that our ped. will give me the referal! a few months ago i had wanted her to do some testing on his immune system, and she just talked us out of the idea. thank you all again! i cant wait until i finish my bsn and am able to give out such helpful advice!
  7. Help me please! I have a 14 month old son who has been plagued with poor health since birth. Born full term and over 9 pounds you'd think he'd be healthy, not so. He's had pneumonia 4 times, recurrent bronchitis, over 8 ear infections, which led to tubes, eczema, asthma, tonsil infections, food allergies and now seasonal allergies. His ped. has had him on .5mg's of pulmicort 2 times daily for months now. She now wants to up his dosage to 3 times a day and to start the albuterol again as well. How harmful can these dosages be to my son? He wont sit any more to use the neb, and we still have 4 months until he can start a chewable. Any advice? ~mom/nursing student in need of advice~
  8. I've always been interested in L&D, however I would like input on other great specialty area's. I am just starting with my pre-req's for the BSN program, but I can't help but look towards the future! Any input is greatly appreciated!
