How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.
Care to share?
Hey DanaRN2b, I also have 4 kids the exact same ages and I am also 27 yrs old! I am about to start my last semester of nursing school so it can be done. My husband is in the military and has been deployed twice since I've been in school, as a matter of fact he is gone now. He left the day after Thanksgiving and won't be back until Feb. If I can do it, you can too! Best of luck to you.
DANARN2B-You asked how I managed with 4 kids...and school. I have been taking half my classes online and half on campus. 3 of my kids are in school all day so the only cruncher is the weekends...they can get a bit tense. Often times we are all sitting around the table doing our homework together, that is actually a plus...it's good for them to see a parent working on schoolwork too. Good Luck to you! :)
Hello everyone! It's been a while! But thought that I would post on here first before heading off to other things. I am 47, divorced, two grown kids and two adorable grandbabies and a full-time ADN student!!
Yes, I got in this Fall after all the drama and hoopla. (Remember the girl that got in before me that her Mom was a "friend" of the Dean of the Nursing Program??)
I just started my second quarter and love it! Of course I took all the pre-req's first before my Nursing classes which I am now thankful that I did. Makes the Nursing classes so much more enjoyable and less stressful. (As if there isn't any stress in them at all! Yea, right!)
Anyway...Hello to all and good luck!!
:kiss
