How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Care to share?

Hi Steph

My name is Tanya and I am 19, no kids, no husband, not even in the first sem yet wish everyone luck!

Specializes in Acute rehab/geriatrics/cardiac rehab.

Hi Stephany - I'm new to allnurses.com. I'm 44, married and the mother of 5 (4 teenagers and one soon to be teenager). I was a full time homemaker for several years...specializing in laundry, lunches, and chauffeur duties (also PTA meetings, and conflict resolution etc). I have a previous degree from longer ago than I care to mention (in Communication Disorders). I returned to school to become a nurse as my children hit their teen years and am now heading into my final semester of a BSN program and, Lord willing I will graduate in May 2004. I'm thinking of rehab nursing or maternal/infant care.

The Reason for the Season will take care of our tomorrows! :)

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

Hello, all. I'm a 27 year-old mom of four and will (cross your fingers) be beginning my first semester of a five-semester RN program in the fall. I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts & hope to get to know some of you well.

:) :)

Hi all...My name's Tracy, I just finished semester 1 of my BScN program. (Yay, only 7 more to go :p)

Anyway, I'm 19, I live in Alberta, Canada...and I guess that's it. I've actually been lurking around here for a little while now and finally decided to introduce myself!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great New Year's...have fun, but not *too* much :chuckle

Hi, I'm Nicole, 28, single, and mom to 4 boys and 1 girl. I am currently about to start my last semester of LVN school. Would have liked to start in the RN program but the waiting list here in Austin is anywhere from a year to three years depending on how good your grades are. Anyways, would like to wish everyone good luck in their next semester.

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

nicole, welcome! thanks and the best to you.

I've been lurking here for months...decided to come out of lurkdom. I'm a Pre nursing student on my 4th sememster (part time)enroute to RN...I'm 30 something with 4 kids (11, 9, 6 and 3)...spent 10 yrs in Corrections as a Deputy.

I admit, it is addicting here. :chuckle I've gotten alot of good information from here and can't tell you how much that is appreciated.

Just wanted to say good luck to you! I also have 4 kids (8, 6, 4, and 3), and know how tough it is to juggle them and school, too. How are you managing it?!
