How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.
Care to share?
My turn! :yelclap:
I'm Angela. I'm just over half way into the first semester of a 4 semester BSN program. This is my 2nd degree and the first time in almost 4 years that I've been a FT student. I got married this past August and to a man I've been with for 7 years. I'm loving school but I'm so tired all the time and need some relief at some time. My husband is finishing up his first degree in criminal justice and has been applying like crazy for police depts in the area. Hopefully he gets something soon so I can decrease my hours at work. But for now I'm doing the best I can! Nice to meet all of you. I plan on reading more of the forum tomorrow...right now it's late and I've been studying all night for an exam. :studyowl: g'night everone!
Hi everyone! I just got my acceptance letter last week and thought I'd wander over here from the Pre-Nursing forum and do some reading. I start the program in August 07 and I am scared, lol. I got some great tips from poking around in here and I am really excited about starting, but at the same time it is quite intimidating. Hopefully I can manage to be as 'on the ball' as most of the folks here seem to be. I have three boys at home (4, 8, and 10), so the hardest part of my journey so far has just been staying organized and making time to study.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all : )

HI Everyone,
My name is Brenda. I'm 37, no kids, unless you count my husband. He can be a handful but is super supportive.
I can now officially post on this thread that I was accepted into a nursing program here in CT. I start in September. I'll have all my pre-req's done except Child Psych which I will take online this fall.
I can't wait to get started! It will be a challenge, but I'm ready.
