How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hi, my name is Courtney and I just came to my senses this past spring and realized that majoring in Biology isn't for me but Nursing is... after I was accepted into Villanova's nursing program senior year of high school, a teacher (who I still hold very highly) talked me out of nursing and I switched into the Biology program... but I soon found out that I didn't want to be a doctor and I didn't want to do research for the rest of my life... I want to work with people!

so here I am... just starting out in nursing school...:w00t:

btw, my great aunt was a nurse, my mom's a nurse, my cousin's a nurse, and my aunt just finished getting her BSN... so what can I say? it runs in my family...:D

Congratulations!

Hi ya'll. My name is Deidre'. I am 27 and have 2 kids. Reilly and Addison are only 14 months apart. I am starting my nursing classes this month and will be done with my LVN in May (very fast program). It's going pretty well so far. Hope it continues that way.

Wow - hello everyone! My name is Whitney. 25, live in boyfriend kissblush, no kids (except the cat!). I am starting a Graduate Entry Program on MONDAY! YIKES! uhoh21 I will be attending UMass Medical School in Worcester.

I feel so much better knowing that there are so many supportive people out there in the medical field that we can all rely on while we are studying, working, making our way through life! Thanks all in advance! Icon Hug

Good luck to all that are going to be starting soon!

Hi,

My name is Wendy. I am 35, married, mother of 1 boy (8). I live in Miami. I work fulltime at a university that has an awesome nursing school. However, I do not attend that program. :o

Instead, I am paying my own way through a part-time ASN program at MDC (the local college). I will be graduating in May 2007. I am currently in my first med-surg semester.

I am very happy I found this place.

W. :)
