If you took it as a CLEP, that is correct. But, move on to the other exams. Before you know it, your elapsed time will be over. What did you use to study?

Another great resource to help with sociology was cliffnotes.com. Used them for my intro to sociology clep exam along with the REA clep book. Good luck on the next try, you will def get it!!

Wow! Six months is a long time to wait if you have nothing else that is required. A little more expensive suggestion would be to see if EC offers an online course in the subject. If they do, it will probably be 8 weeks as opposed to 6 months. I'm assuming you need this to meet the sociology requirement? There may be other exams in the area that meets this requirement, also. If i remember correctly, Foundations of Gerontolgy meets this requirement and it's an upper level exam. Of course you would need to check with your advisor to be sure. If you're taking it as an arts and science elective and not the requirement, take something else.

I'm thinking about taking it online. This was just a horrible class for me I found it to be so boring I couldn't retain any of it

I found this website and it seems to have alot of the information plus some that was in the rea studyguide. maybe it will help.

If you failed the CLEP, you should be able to take the Uexcel without waiting 6 months.
