I took the CLEP exam for Sociology. I used instacert and the REA guide. The REA guide is a pretty good method for learning the material.

I also CLEPed Soc. and I used this book on wikibooks as one of my study tools. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Introduction_to_Sociology
