Forgive me if this question has been posed before...I tried to use the "search" tool and didn't find what I was looking for.
The nursing school I will be applying to requires an Intro to Nursing as a Profession course. I'd like to take it online if possible. Does anyone know of an accredited, online Intro to Nursing course?
Thanks alot!

Hello,
I've never heard of this before, sorry. The only suggestion I have is to go back to the school you are interested in to ask them:
(1) do they offer it online?
(2) if not, do they know which institution offers it online and if their credits be transferable to their insitution?
(3) or, can you substitute this class for another?
Good luck!

From what I've seen so far with nursing programs....almost all schools require that you take any Nursing related courses at their institution. It might be different state to state or school to school, but all the colleges and universities I've looked into only accept core curriculum from their own courses.

There isn't a standard with nursing courses like other subjects. You'll learn pretty much the same thing taking General Chem at University A or Community College B.
Unfortunately, one school's Intro to Nursing is not another school's Nursing Fundementals. You may have to take the class at that college. You should call that nursing program and ask if there is an online option or if they accept outside credit for that class.
If it is anything like the intro class I'm taking (it's a prereq for nursing school), it'll have lab and clinical portions (CNA stuff).
