Usually intro to chem is a pre-req (maybe co-req for your school) to micro because you'll be talking a lot about redox reactions especially when you are going over metabolism and in lab when you guys are going over biochemical tests, so I don't know what to tell you. Intro to chem is pretty easy and micro is easy; however, micro was easy for me because I already took chem and some other pre-reqs.
At my school Biological Science or A & P 1 and placement into English comp 1 are the pre-req's for Micro. English is done. As far a science classes go, I took A&P 1 this summer and will be taking A&P 2 this fall. I just didnt know if it was wise to take a bio with a chem together in one semester. I have not taken a bio and a chem or 2 bios together at the same time. I have been sticking with the "easier" classes with only one bio a semester.
I'm taking both this semester with my second semester of Nursing classes as well. BUT... I am taking Micro in 8 weeks then Chem130 in 8 weeks. I HATE Chemistry so I am taking it last!
I feel ya! I put off chem too and now I'm wishing I had taken it because I may have to take it at the same time as nursing classes. Yuk!!! lol
Those are two very difficult classes, especially if you have not taken Chemistry before. You can pull it off if you are extremely motivated, and have nothing else going on. I took Chemistry and Anatomy last Spring, and got an A in both, BUT I literally did nothing else but study the whole time. I took Micro over the summer in 7 weeks, and it was hard, but I got an A and never took my nose out of the book. It can be done. Just be prepared to work really hard. You know yourself. It's better to split them up and get an A in both than to rush through and get a C, so keep that in mind.

Has anyone taken intro chem and micro at the same time? I have never taken a chem class not even in high school so I dont know what to expect from it. How hard is it?
Thanks!
