Interview Tomorrow - PRN - Telemetry Unit

Published

I have an interview tomorrow with a near by hospital as an PRN worker in an telemetry unit! I am nervous because this is my first job as a CNA! I am asking for advise on what I should expect to hear during the interview. I will be dressing up in a dress shirt, dress paints, belt, dress shoes, and a tie, so hopefully I will be dressed appropriately! Thank for any help!

You might hear, " 1 yr experience is required." :uhoh3: Thats what I heard today. Booooo!

Good luck though!!! :D

I sure hope not! I applied on line and it made no mention of it, but for all the jobs that required X amount of experience, they had X amount listed on the job qualifications, so like I said I sure as heck hope not! Although it being PRN they might not take me because I would assume that PRN people need to be able to come on the job and be able to do it with out hand holding.

Sounds like you're dressed nice! Good luck!

I got my first job at a hospital with zero experience. Just be yourself and be honest. Sometimes employers want non experienced so they can train them their way and they come with no bad habits from other jobs.

Best of luck!

Well, I had my interview today. First, I had an interview with the DON, and then I had a peer interview immediately afterwards with two CNAs. I think I did pretty good with the interview, but they did not tell when I should expect to hear back from them, so I E-Mailed the DON asking and thanking for her for the interview. However, the DON did tell me what I would be doing, liked my time availability, and explained to me that orientation would be 2-3 days at a near by facility. I really hope that I got the job, but the suspense of not knowing for sure is killing me :).

Good luck! I just got hired into a hospital with no experience, it can happen!
