I am very excited that a hosp has finally decided to interview me for a nursing assistant job on the cardiology floor. But I am also very nervous about the interview now b/c I only have 6 days of clinical experience (I am also a second year nursing student) on the cardiology floor.
What are the concerns that the nurses on the cardiology floor have? What do they expect a nursing assistant to do?
I have some experience working as a CNA in a nursing home. I think working in a Hospital will definitely help me a lot with my school. I can see more diagnoses and conditions which is great for me.
I just hope that someone out there can give me some tips of how to impress the interviewer.
Thanks.

Good luck!!! I'm sure you will get the job since you have previous tech expirence and are a nursing student. Your job most likely will be doing AM care, Q4hrs (or Qshift) vitals, blood sugars and some lab draws depending on your hospital policy. The one thing they might ask, since you are on a cardiology floor is what s/s would you report to the RN? Things like CHEST PAIN, sudden dizziness, SOB, diaphoresis or any other sudden change like going from pink to "dusky" grey or bluish in color or shakiness (maybe low b.s.) should be reported ASAP. Good luck!!!
