Interview attire.

Ladies, what did you wear to your interview? Torn between a pant suit or nice blouse and skirt (below the knee). Suggestions??

Spent less than $100 on a JcPenney skirt suit, was offered admission at every CRNA school I applied to and every RN job I interviewed for. I feel more confident in a skirt, but pants would also work. I wore one inch heels, also helps with the confidence. Blazer with a blouse under that had a pop of color. Minimal make up, hair in either a bun or low pony tail. Stud earrings. I had already spent hundreds just to get the interview, hundreds to get to the interview, there's no way I was spending $900 on a suit.

I wore the same thing to my ICU job interview and CRNA school interview (got hired/accepted to both). Blouse, pants, blazer...all from Express...on sale. Spent less than $100 if I remember correctly :)

My outfit choices really depended on my mood for the day; several times I wore a nice business-y dress and jacket, while on my last interview (the one where I finally got hired) I chose to wear slacks, a nice blouse, and a business jacket because I was tired of wearing a dress/skirt. The main goal is to look clean and professional, while taking weather and environment into account. There are so many ways to look professional, so I would suggest having a bit of fun with it!

. I brought a blue new suit from banana Republic on sale because it was better quality and fit than the cheaper suits. Didn't spend 900 spent about 200 for a 500 suit. My total outfit with shoes, t-shirt, tie was like 400. I also got it tailored then got some cool socks that matched the suit all for the 400. I saw other guys in suits way to big non tailored and all the same color of black. I stood out got compliments from two out of the three panels I interviewed with. Ended up getting into all three. Not saying the suit did it but everything helps. You will have the outfit after too you can use it for job interviews or going to nice events. The suit will not go bad it's not food and some looks are just plain time less. We are are welling to take gre for 200 before review books or apps. Willing to take the ccrn 220 or 325 before the add on's.Apply to multiple schools with multiple fees along with transcripts. We can spend that much on a suit. Ooo you can wear it to aana meeting if your school makes you go. Ok sorry for the long book, hope it helps others like others have helped me. Good luck

Alor14582 makes a good point. We spend all this money on applying to schools and getting certifications but god forbid you spend $900 on cloths. I hope you realize that after CRNA school you will use that same designer suit again to get a job in the field. You can wear it to work meetings, funerals, or maybe just take the jacket out with you to a casual brunch.

I got a very next expensive blue suit at Goodwill for 16.00 Lots of stuff. Shoes too.
