Any Thoughts on why Orthopedics Hire PA more than APN
I applied to 40 PA ortho positions and only heard back once, they asked if I had first assist cert. I have tons of ortho nursing and sports medicine experience, probably the most in the country. I'm settling for primary care

I was offered 84k in Northern Mass, with a productivity bonus based on RVU (whatever that is). Was told the same regarding negotiating due to a standardized salary schedule. I was expecting 100k as a new grad in Mass. They did come back with a 10,000 sign on bonus which is better than nothing but a higher salary is better. what city was your offer in?

APEA, Fitzgerald and LEIK, which one?
Take the APEA course and buy their Qbank. Use all 3 books

Graduated 2015, took AANP twice and ANCC once all failed. Now depressed.
If you haven't, attend the APEA course, it will be helpful. Also, reach out to your school for advice. Best of luck, you can do it.

Salaries at underserved/community health centers/federally qualified health centers
Does anyone work for these agencies as an NP? How are salaries relative to other places? Any able to negotiate salary above the initial offer?
-
negotiating as a new grad NP
Has anyone had success negotiating up? I'm in the same boat as the original poster except my position has decent benefits but the offer was only 85,000 (new grad, 9 years nursing experience) for Lawrence Mass

Embarrassing topic: sweating
Wear compression shorts under your scrubs and maybe a dry washcloth between your cheeks. When I was a teen I had horrible sweating in my pits, tried every antiperspirant, md prescribed Drysol, it's a liquid dabber medication, it worked amazing but irriatTed my skin initially. So you'd have to be careful around your mucus membeanes
